TV seating distance: 1.2–1.6× the screen size
Sit 1.2–1.6× the TV size away.
A 65″ TV works best 78–104″ (6.5–8.7 ft) from your eyes. 55″: 5.5–7.3 ft. 75″: 7.5–10 ft. Put the centre of the screen at seated eye height, about 42″, and pick a console wider than the screen (a 65″ TV is about 57″ wide, so 60″ or more). To check your room: room length minus the sofa (36″) and the console (18″) is your distance. A 12 ft room gives 7.5 ft: a 55–75″ TV.
